TITANS was Hearthstone’s second expansion in August 2023, for Year of the Wolf.
This expansion tapped into the Warcraft lore of the Titans of Azeroth. Players got to experience the colossal power that created the origins of Azeroth and the Warcraft Universe, as they battled it out with strategic decks of Titan might. The logo reflects elements reflecting the Titans’ ancient mythological lore.

Typography
Midgrow Regular was the outstanding choice for this title, as the type allowed for the lockup to sit boldly, as the letters T and N provided structure for the I and the A beneath. The T’s supporting the theme’s mythological structures.
Type Treatment
The type treatment for TITANS features a marble-like texture, with beveled highlights and cosmetic chips, giving it material context. The texture served as the perfect visual fit, finishing off the colossal arch of the type treatment. The type stands apart from the backplate with visual hierarchy. Collaborating with cross-functional partners and art teams, we devised a simpler, thematic backplate, allowing the type to carry the most visual weight here.
