Into the Emerald Dream was Hearthstone’s first expansion for the Year of the Raptor, in 2025.

Type exploration focused on blending organic forms with darker, more sinister accents, capturing the beauty of the Emerald Dream, and the corruption of the Nightmare.

Typography

I explored the contrast between harmony and corruption, using a hybrid of Quadrat Serial and Amber Taste. Quadrat Serial provided a clean, structured foundation, evoking beauty and balance of the Dream. In contrast, Amber Taste introduced organic, slightly distorted letterforms, representing the Nightmare.

Type Treatment

To bring the type to life, layered textures were applied to reflect the natural beauty and underlying tension of the Emerald Dream, while darker overlays hinted to the Nightmare. This contrast helped reinforce the expansion’s theme.

Localization Support

For the Into the Emerald Dream logo, I prepared layered working files optimized for seamless localization across 12+ languages in EMEA and APAC regions. I collaborated closely with regional production teams to ensure accurate cultural and linguistic adjustments.
